Pink Day 2008
How time flies,it's that time of year again for us at Ritchey to wear our best pink outfits and raise money towards Breast Cancer Care, a charity close to our hearts.
The prize for the best use of pink went to our lady from despatch Polly Watson who has officially become the "baby" of the company and quite possibly our mascot for the future?
Other fund raising through out the day included a Raffle, quiz and plenty of food flowing!
The total raised so far is £1001.08 so many thanks to everyone who has contributed, it is greatly appreciated.
Our friends from Ritchey at Coleraine, Fearing and Animalcare Ltd also participated in Pink Day events
Animalcare Ltd
During October we had several days of home baked food for sale. Including cheese scones, muffins, samosas, cheese straws and some very pink buns!! We had a competition between Stephen Wildridge’s Mum’s Parkin and Peter Warners Parkin. Stephen won but I have ordered a re run for next year because Peters was really yummy.
The whole of our database was awash with pink and the two individual winners for costumes were Valerie Train and Shaun Carter. Shaun also swelled the fund by £195 by doing a 24 hour fast.
Pink Day 2007
Once again there has been a massive turn out at Ritchey for "Wear it Pink Day" in support of Breast Cancer Care.
This year's popular theme turned out to be pyjamas and bed wear!!! Polly and Debs from our printing department excelled themselves by dressing as old ladies complete with curlers (spot the Hilda Ogden look-a-like for those old enough to remember Coronation Street that far back)!!
We have also been joined in our photo shoot by Albert the calf and Rosie the sheep who are new members of our Marketing team, look out for them at future Agriculturual Shows.
Last year Ritchey raised £183.50 and we are aiming to match, or even better, that figure this year!
Thanks to everyone who participated and donated.
Pink Day 2006
A charity close to Ritcheys heart is the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, and this year we held our annual "Wear it Pink Day". All staff members were invited to dress in their favourite pink outfits. So wardrobes where raided and over 30 members of staff arrived to work in some stunning ensembles although it seemed as though a member of our IT Department sent his sister to work for the day as you can see by the photograph below. (Front Row far left)
Well done to all who took part and as soon as we have the total amount raised we will let you know.

Pink Day 2009
It’s hard to believe another year has been and gone and we have celebrated Pink Day at Ritchey again!
All Animalcare Group participated as you can see from the photos and there were some very inventive ideas!
The winner of “best use of pink” at the Masham site was shared between Jeff in Despatch and Kevin in Accounts who dressed up as The Pink Panther and George from Rainbow!
Also worth a mention is Andrew Burgess from Travik who refused to wear pink but grew his beard, bleached it and then dyed it pink…as well as the little bit of hair he has on his head!!
Together between the four companies we have raised a brilliant £737.82 and Ritchey have added to these monies so the grand total is £1,000
Thanks, as ever, to everyone who has donated and organised Pink Day towards such a worthy charity.
